The Real NYC Housewives: The Ultimate Frenimies!

Q-Girls Party Review from Guest Blogger Devon

Heather and Sacha, Q-Girls party organizers, did a fabulous job finding a new place for the summer rooftop parties! Social Bar is really social – from the crowd to the bartenders…

The ladies who come are really diverse – all ages, races, sexual orientations, and economic classes. The outdoor patio was lovely, except for the constant smoking – the only bad thing I had to say about the party - in between gasps of fresh air.

The gals mingled with those they didn’t know. The phrase of the night was, "I’ve seen you before at Q-girls, what’s your name?"

There were plenty of former lovers and ex-s on hand to be ogled and ignored, and of course those seeking to be noticed but not talked to. There was a discrete pick-up scene too which you needed to look carefully to notice. A few ladies danced, but the crowd flow prevented a true dance floor from taking hold.

Looking forward to the next party!

Are you Social?

Party promoters Sascha and Heather, the dynamic duo behind the Q-Girls party at Elmo’s have launched a new Wednesday night after work party at Social Bar (795 Eighth Ave. between 48th and 49th Street.) When we heard the bar had a rooftop H and I grabbed our cigarettes and umbrellas and got ready to check it out.

Up Up and Away

Upstairs the room was already packed at 8:30 pm and professional ladies were mingling with enticing entrepreneurs. Everyone was glad to get together and have a cocktail on hump day.

United Colors of Benetton

These lovely ladies struck a pose for the blogger- razzi. Thanks ladies!

Diva in da House!

Spotted: Danielle looking stunning in a black blouse, leather skirt and fur vest.
You better work!

Are you on Top of my Roof?

The rooftop scene was major with the ladies flirting, laughing and exchanging pleasantries.

Into the Garden of Eden ...

Despite the rain, we decided to go downtown to the Eden party at Country (248 W 14th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues) The party is hosted by legendary party promoter Maggie C and we hear that New York Magazine voted this hot spot the “Best Lesbian Party of 2008” Well, it’s 2009 let’s see if that still holds true …

Ya Down Wid This?

We met this cool chic as soon as we got there, with a pose like that how could the blogger-razzi resist??

Everybody Dance!

The room was packed with hot girls and the music was a fierce mix of 80’s classics and top 40 hits.

Are You Feeling It?

This chic was spreading her wings when the DJ played Journey's “More Than a Feeling.” We wonder if she will spread something else tonight …

GoldiLocks??

We love a hot girl who knows how to accessorize. Check out her blonde hair, golden jacket and tawny beer. Work it girl!

Somebody Tell Me ...

The DJ played “Everything She Wants” by Wham! and Eso swayed to the music like it was 1984.

Peace on Earth

These kids know how to have a good time in the VIP lounge at Eden.

Who's In my Booth?

EDEN's resident DJ, shErOck was really getting into it!

Maggie C, Let's See ...

Maggie C, Lesbian Promoter extraordinaire launched a new party called Lady Fingers at Club Gorilla (74 Leonard St. between Church & Broadway.) The invite promised circus acts, human oddities and other shocking entertainment, with promises like that how could we say no …

Bringing Sexy Back

I ran into D and L as soon as I got there who were enjoying their half price cocktails and the eye candy. The music was a fun mix of pop, dance and electronica and was definitely getting the girls ready to party.

Would You Like a Lap Dance??

A bombshell burlesque dancer seductively performed on the stage and proved to us that a disciplined yoga routine, false lashes and an uninhibited spirit are all you need to make money in this town!

H joined us as well and before you can say “Lady Fingers” the room was packed with luscious ladies and glamorous girls with an edge.

Hello Ladies, Are You Enjoy Yourselves??

Mistress of Ceremonies, Miss Astrid, who sounds like Marlene Dietrich with a cold, asks the audience “Vhy do they call this party Lady Fingers??” Apparently not satisfied with the answers from the audience she promptly replied “Because you need two in the goo and one in the poo.” We hope she washed her hands before handling that microphone!

My Name is Dita

More burlesque performers added to the erotic vibe of the evening.

Mambo Italiano

Everyone loves an Italian girl!

Save the Best for Last ...

Miss Astrid seduces the stage and the audience with her rendition of Prince’s “When Doves Cry.”

Maggie C, You Got Me!

This lady is one Sexy MF! We will definitely be back for more!

Can Lesbians Have Casual Sex??

Hey Ladies, just read this interesting article by Erica Gold in www.PlanetOut.com and thought I should share it with my fellow socialites. Please feel free to leave a comment.

Sometimes I envy my gay male friends. If they're in the mood for sex, they go out to a bar, and they get it. Or they have sex with a friend—no strings attached. My friend Ben has a list of buddies that he can call whenever he wants to get it on. If he wants to get busy on a Saturday night, he gets busy.

It is different for lesbians. We don't have lists. But we do have a lot of strings attached.

Sure, if you are lucky, you might be able to pick up a woman at a bar after hours of seduction and take her home. But God forbid you run into her again.

"Why didn't you call? Don't you like me?"

The guilt trip begins.

And forget sleeping with a friend. Girls just can't do it. Well, they can, but drama ensues.

"Why didn't you call? Did you use me?"

I swear, you have to agree to co-habitation and a commitment ceremony (or marriage, depending on the state you live in), or you can forget about casual sex when you're a lesbian.

I'm not saying there aren't any lesbians who can't have casual sex without their emotions getting in the way. I know there are—I've read about them in those lesbian erotica anthologies, and I saw an attractive one named Shane on The L Word. But I have never met any of these lesbians in person, which is a shame because I know I'd like them very much.
Hey Ladies, saw this interesting article in today.

Before I go any further in making myself sound like the oh-so-cool queen of casual sex, I should make an admission: I'm a hypocrite!

I have had flings and never thought of the girl again, but I have also had casual sex and found my emotions running wild.

Yes, I've been that girl who had a one-night stand and then whined, "Why didn't you call me? Did you just use me?"

Not every time. But I've done it once…or twice.

Why is it that lesbians can't have casual sex? Why do our emotions always get in the way?

Take My Breath Away ...

KELLY McGillis, who played Tom Cruise's flight instructor and lover in hit film Top Gun, has confirmed Hollywood's worst kept secret - she is a lesbian.
The 51-year-old, who played Cruise’s lover in the film about a fighter pilot training school, has long been the subject of rumours but always denied being gay.

The actress, who is single, 'came out' in an interview with lesbian website SheWired.com.

When asked if she was looking for a man or woman, she said her next partner would 'definitely be a woman'.

She added: "I’m done with the man thing. I did that, I need to move on in life."

McGillis starred with Susie Porter in a lesbian love scene in 2000 movie The Monkey's Mask.
